Our Costa Rica CCSVI Liberation Itinerary
Hospital Clinica Biblica and Passport Medical are striving for ‘best practice’ in the area of CCSVI Liberation therapy. Thus, we have worked to develop a multidisciplinary program of the highest quality and that includes rehabilitation therapy. The doctor will require you to be in Costa Rica for 9 days (8 nights), but, of course, you can stay longer if you wish.
The hospital is recommending an integral, multidisciplinary approach which focuses on high standards of safety, quality, and care to ensure the best possible outcomes. The CCSVI procedure process includes:
- The vascular specialist
- Neurologist
- Intensive care doctor
- Anesthesiologist
- Radiologist
- Physical Therapist
The following is a general overview of the time line for our Costa Rica CCSVI Liberation Treatment program, but it may vary.
Day 1
- Airport pick-up at Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) in San José, Costa Rica
- Transfer to hotel
- The rest of the day for rest
Day 2
- Initial consultation with rehabilitation therapists if time permits (at the hotel)
- Pre-Ops Blood tests, EKG, and consultation with an internal medicine doctor and neurologist
Days 3
- Morning Venography, and CCSVI Liberation Treatment (if patient is a candidate)
- Discharge back to hotel in late afternoon
Days 4-8
- Physiotherapy Rehabilitation at hotel begins
- Follow-up visit with the vascular specialist
Day 9
- Departure home
